Sad news for us attached to the physical forms, when we came to know that Swamiji Dayananda Saraswati passed away. He was and will always be a Mahatma. His spiritual height was out of question, and he has been a bold example when calling a spade a spade, and a brilliant intelligence.
This is just a short post that comes out directly from my love for him and what he represents. Mixed emotions are there in my heart. It was not in my luck to have his darshan in this life, but he is gifting me now with the feeling of his presence.
What is a Mahatma, loosely translated as a “great soul”? In my own spontaneous definition, it would be that one whose relation and unity with Brahman becomes more evident for the subtle eye than his panchamahabhuta, the five elements that comprise this visible body.
He has left behind many great disciples, and ashrams in various parts of the world, and clear teachings of Vedanta, sparkled of his healthy good mood. One can find his brilliant speeches in youtube, plenty of documents of his teachings in internet, that are nothing but the eternal message of the Vedas simplified by the lucid vehicle that he has been. He also founded a NGO, Aim for Seva, to help in education and healthcare for children in rural areas in India.
He was the embodiment of Light and Love. My heart weeps for his departure. My heart is in joy for his full presence. May he be an inspiration for all the sadhakas in the world.
Love for him and in him
